One Heart Travel

Where every safari heals a little heart.

What we do

We are a tourism agency that organizes safaris to Tanzania to sponsor free heart treatment programs for children, giving them a second chance in life.

Why we do this

With a population of 62 million, Tanzania is experiencing 2 million live births every year. Approximately 16,000 children are born with congenital heart defects (CHD), and 4,000 urgently require surgery within the 1st year of life.

With only one heart hospital, less than 2% receive the necessary surgery due to low awareness, limited access, and affordability issues. CHD stands as the 3rd leading cause of early childhood death in the country.

Tanzania

We are represented on SafariBookings, the world's largest resource and leading authority for planning an African safari.

“Since 2019, I have been on a mission to heal the little hearts in Tanzania through The One New Heart Tanzania non-profit. In collaboration with volunteers passionate about safaris, we have been able to provide free heart treatment to needy children. The goal to serve more children is what led us to found One Heart Travel Limited, where we organize safaris to sponsor free heart treatment missions in Tanzania.”

Explore the Prison Island in Zanzibar

Changuu Island, also known as Kibandiko, Prison, or Quarantine Island, is a small island located 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town in Zanzibar, Tanzania. With dimensions of approximately 800 m in length and 230 m at its widest point, the island has a rich history that includes its use as a prison for rebellious slaves in the 1860s and as a coral mine.

Changuu Island is home to a noteworthy collection of endangered Aldabra giant tortoises, originally gifted by the British governor of the Seychelles. The island's name is derived from the Swahili name for a common fish in the surrounding seas.
